YSL Love 1989
By Yves Saint-Laurent
In 1970, Yves Saint Laurent drew his first "LOVE" which became a series of greeting cards in poster format, which he sent until 2007 to his family, friends, collaborators and clients.
Every year, the couturier mixes techniques - collages, drawings or gouache - and renews his chromatic palette. Many of these maps are inspired by Morocco, where Yves Saint Laurent most often produces them. They are also tributes to Georges Braque, Jean Cocteau, Andy Warhol and Henri Matisse.
Paper
We use archival inks on museum quality, medium weight paper for all our posters. Thus ensuring your piece is long-lasting and beautifully finished.
Frames
Our frames are made from locally sourced, sustainable Victorian Ash. The timber is milled, hand sanded and painted, right here in Melbourne. We use museum grade plexiglass for a very modern gallery look.
