Sun
By Picasso
After World War II, with Paris recently liberated, Picasso found himself bombarded by visitors. To escape, he sought refuge in the studio of lithographer Fernand Mourlot. There began an enduring artist-printmaker partnership, that resulted in some 400 lithographs.
Picasso once stated “There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun." A fitting statement.

Our frames are made from locally sourced, sustainable Victorian Ash. The timber is milled, hand sanded and painted, right here in Melbourne. We use museum grade plexiglass for a very modern gallery look.
